Dr.Dancy completed her medical training at the University of Edinburgh in 2001 ( MBChB with honours) and gained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) after several years in hospital medicine in 2005. She went on to work in HIV medicine and palliative care in Uganda for a year before deciding to transition into General Practice (MRCGP), valuing the whole person approach and continuity that this career offers. She has worked as a GP since 2009 and during this time has been able to develop her interest in all aspects of women’s health. She holds a diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health (DSRH) and is a British Menopause Society (BMS) accredited Menopause Specialist. She is a trained fitter of contraceptive implants and intrauterine devices (coils).

In her spare time, Dr Dancy enjoys an active lifestyle enjoying walking, horse riding and wild swimming and spending time with her husband and 3 children.
