We provide high-quality, consultant-led outpatient services across a wide range of specialities including General Practice (GP), Dermatology, Cardiology, Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT), Orthopaedics, Ultrasound Diagnostics, Allergy and Blood Testing, Minor Surgery, Rheumatology, Gynaecology, Menopause Care and Sports Medicine to Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Since our founding in 2022, our dual mission has been clear: to deliver premium private healthcare services, and to create clinical capacity that can actively support the NHS in reducing waiting times and improving access to specialist care within local communities.
“We’re incredibly proud to have been appointed as a provider to Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,” said Peter George, CEO at Enigma Healthcare. “This agreement reflects our commitment to supporting NHS Trusts and Neighbourhood Health Centres through reliable, value-driven solutions that make a tangible difference to staff and patients every day. It reinforces our dedication to helping the NHS achieve its goals for quality, sustainability, and service excellence in every partnership.”
Read MoreOur service model, infrastructure, and clinical team have been developed with NHS collaboration as a core strategic objective. All clinical services are delivered by consultants with experience of NHS Trusts, who are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and fully engaged in continuous professional development (CPD), appraisal, and revalidation. This ensures alignment with NHS standards, National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE) guidance using Clinical Knowledge Summaries and evidence-based best practices.
Our Tarporley clinic is located within easy reach of patients across Cheshire, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Shropshire, and North East Wales, the vast majority of our patients living within a 30-mile or 60-minute drive-time radius. This regional reach allows us to provide flexible, accessible care to both self-funded patients and NHS-referred pathways.
All services are delivered through robust clinical governance processes that mirror NHS frameworks, including regular audit cycles, incident reporting, patient satisfaction monitoring, and multidisciplinary reviews. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are fully compliant with all statutory safeguarding, infection prevention, and health and safety requirements.
Our electronic patient record system is secure, scalable, and compatible with NHS data governance expectations. We are fully compliant with the NHS Digital Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and operate under the oversight of an appointed Caldicott Guardian.
Over the past several years, we have successfully provided services to self-paying patients and private medical insurance clients (including Bupa), achieving:
Our infrastructure is deliberately designed to scale, including the flexibility to provide services during evenings and weekends to support NHS elective recovery and meet Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets.
Our aim is to support the NHS through the provision of an expert team with NHS credentials and availability of high-specification equipment. With expert Consultant input to existing wider NHS-led care pathways. Recognising we are one piece of the puzzle and want to support rather than replace the NHS.
For example, including but not limited to:

Our services are overseen by Medical Director Dr Anthony Patiniott, an experienced NHS GP locum and former NHS GP Senior Partner. Our consultant-led model also includes NHS-experienced professionals such as:
