Advanced skin surveillance for total peace of mind

Whether you’re concerned about your skin, have lots of moles, a family history of skin cancer, or simply want reassurance, our service provides a comprehensive baseline of your skin that can be compared year after year.

Based in Tarporley, we welcome patients from across Cheshire, Chester, Warrington, Knutsford, Nantwich, Northwich, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.

What is Whole Body Mole Mapping?

Whole Body Mole Mapping is a comprehensive skin surveillance service that photographs your skin from head to toe, creating a detailed digital record of your moles and skin lesions.

Unlike a traditional mole check, mole mapping isn’t simply looking at one mole today — it creates a permanent baseline that allows future scans to identify subtle changes that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Your appointment combines:

Full body digital photography
Detailed dermoscopic images of selected moles
AI-assisted comparison technology
Independent Consultant Dermatologist review
Personalised written report

This combination provides a highly accurate way of monitoring your skin over time while giving you reassurance and expert guidance.

Our Technology

Advanced skin surveillance technology

At Enigma Healthcare, we use the FotoFinder® Automated Total Body Mapping (ATBM) system, one of the world’s leading technologies for digital mole mapping and skin surveillance.

The system captures a comprehensive photographic record of your skin, creating a secure digital baseline that can be compared with future scans. Intelligent software helps identify new or changing lesions over time, while every scan is independently reviewed by a Consultant Dermatologist.

Unlike a one-off mole check, whole body mole mapping allows your skin to be monitored objectively year after year, making it easier to identify subtle changes that may require further assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a mole check and mole mapping?
A mole check usually focuses on one or a small number of specific moles. Whole Body Mole Mapping photographs your entire skin surface to create a baseline that can be monitored over time.
Can Mole Mapping diagnose skin cancer?
No. Whole Body Mole Mapping is a surveillance service designed to identify new or changing lesions that may require further assessment. Any diagnosis is made by a Consultant Dermatologist following clinical review and, where necessary, additional investigation.
How often should I have Mole Mapping?
For most people, annual surveillance is recommended. Some patients at higher risk may benefit from more frequent monitoring depending on Consultant advice.
How long does the appointment take?
Approximately 40 minutes for a new patient. Annual follow-up appointments are usually shorter.
Will I receive a report?
Yes. Every patient receives a personalised written Consultant Dermatologist report explaining the findings and any recommended next steps.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with Enigma Healthcare.
Is the service suitable if I have one worrying mole?
If you have a mole that is changing rapidly, bleeding or causing symptoms, we recommend booking a Dermatology consultation instead so the lesion can be assessed appropriately.
